Harmonica Inflatable!

Make your fun un-deflatable! đŸŒŦī¸

A little while ago I was lucky enough to see a post that there was a pop up (or.. blow up) exhibit at the Pikesville Armory with artist made inflatables! 🐡

I had never even considered someone making their own inflatables! đŸ–ŧī¸ Isn't that weird? Or maybe it's not.

To me inflatables are fun things for props and pools. 🏊 And you buy them at Five Below or online. 🎈 But the truth is that anything that you can buy at a store can be made by an artist -- and it's definitely (well most LIKELY) going to be more interesting!

There were some really interesting ones and I'll show them more later. 🎏 But I wanted to highlight for now.

It was an interactive one -- đŸ•šī¸ and you KNOW I love interactive stuff!

When I walked in, I was sad because it looked like it was deflated. But things aren't always what they seem... 🤔

Instead of disregarding it, đŸ‘Ŗ I walked over and read the sign.

We were instructed to press the button on the ground. đŸĢˇ Then the other. And the inflatable started to grow. 💨

And it didn't just grow... it made sound. đŸŽŧ

It was called the Harmonicake. There were harmonicas and it hummed while it grew. đŸĒ— There were seats on the side. đŸĒ‘ And when you were done, you pressed the buttons to watch it deflate.

Thanks to @skymacklay for this incredible installation. đŸŽļ She's a composer, sound artist, oboist, and this is NOT her first Harmonitree.

📍 The armory was also a great please to have an event. So much space! Looking forward to see what else they do there! @pikesville_armory promoted by the @mdartscouncil
